Re: What the hell is going on at Garage Bar?
Described as "the original art-rock record",[6] it was a major influence on many subgenres of rock music and alternative music, including punk, garage, krautrock, post-punk, shoegaze, goth, and indie.[7] In 1982, the English musician Brian Eno said that while the album only sold approximately 30,000 copies in its first five years, canucklhead wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 2:31 pm The original Velvet Underground yellow banana signage was the clue. Is this what you are referring to?

The present dispute was a minor incident that blew up from nothing. The second oldest daughter who is 20 and still studies, needs work experience so she has something to put on her CV. She had already worked one night only and both Clay and his girlfriend both said she worked good, Clay said she could come back and work anytime she wanted to. Note,, without pay, because she gets all the so called ''rent '' money to support herself and her two younger sisters. Kids abandoned by their mother and father need an income , right.? None of the monies is used for myself.
On the night of the dispute Clay did not want to give the 20 year old another chance to get work experience for another 2 nights, and things escalated from there.
So Clay randomly refused a free staff member who he said did a nice job previously?
And now the CV is fucked because it has 1 day of work experience. If it had 2 days that’s a real draw to employers, now she only has 1 day and it’s tragic.
Re: What the hell is going on at Garage Bar?
She doesn't need a CV now, she has a full time job running a bar.
Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.

Jamie, just a quick aside:
why do you, more often than not, punctuate your sentences with a declaration that you have written a truthful statement?
Do you habitually engage in such a disturbing amount of communicative subterfuge... that on the rare occasion when you are indeed speaking honestly, you feel the reflexive need to bring it to the readers/listeners attention?

She will need a CV sometime in the future. Her near future is to study in Australia and while there, to work part time and to have bar/restaurant work on a CV ,,, my opinion ,,, is it would certainly help her get a part-time job there.

Why would you think her having three days of bar work on her CV instead of one day would help her? That doesn't make much sense. It's hard to believe you'd ask Clay to hire her for "just two days" for CV building reasons.Tootsfriend wrote: ↑Thu Nov 17, 2022 11:12 am

Is it possible you just demanded he hire her, without the "two days" condition?

Bob the b, Do me a favour and pick up your hammer and hit your head with it. Work experience does not end with 1 day 2 days or 3 days work . The opportunity to work 2 days was because she had no studies to do on those 2 days.BobtheBillder wrote: ↑Thu Nov 17, 2022 11:21 amWhy would you think her having three days of bar work on her CV instead of one day would help her? Sorry I guess I'm confused. Did you ask Clay to hire her two days a week (days when she's not in class)?Tootsfriend wrote: ↑Thu Nov 17, 2022 11:34 am

Or did you ask him to hire to just work two days, total? That was my impression. I may have been wrong.
And either way, when he said no, and you terminated his services and profit sharing as manager, how much notice did you give him to vacate the residence above the bar? Did you order or your family order him out of his home ASAP, Khmer style?

I'll gladly gift her a CV when she needs it, with all my love. She's got a bright future ahead of her.Tootsfriend wrote: ↑Thu Nov 17, 2022 11:12 amShe will need a CV sometime in the future. The Australian embassy will laugh in her face when she applies for a visa
Unless she plans on marrying an old white fella she meets in the bar, which from your replies sounds likely
