Six Thais Arrested for Illegal Use of Weapons on Cambodian Territory

Cambodia News, (Pailin): Six Thai male casino employees were arrested by police in connection with the illegal use of firearms in Cambodia on November 11, 2022, near the Peace Bridge in Stung Karch village, Stung commune. Kach, Sala Krao district, Pailin province.
Lt. Col. Chea Sopharith confirmed that the suspects rode motorbikes to visit the river near the Peace Bridge, where shots were fired, but no one was harmed.

It was also confirmed that all six suspects detained by the authorities are Thai nationals who are employed at the Grand JM Casino, Psar Prum, Pailin.
1. Eiamrk Sawong, a 29-year-old male (used two firearms, a Maklak and a Kusi, a total of 81 rounds and fired 11 shots).
2. Ta Chhay, alias Poker, male, 27 years old (had 1 Makrolo weapon, 45 bullets and fired 3 shots).
3. Atthip, male, 23 years old.
4. Name: SIttipog Vuthichai, male, 33 years old.
5. Bunthuk thawatchai, alias To, male, 33 years old.
6. Chanin Thon, alias Tin, male, 19 years old.

The police confiscated 3 handguns, 75 rounds of ammunition, 4 magazines, 51 rounds of ammunition, Thai passports, and telephones. Currently, the six suspects and the above exhibits are being detained by the Pailin Provincial Police and continue to follow the legal procedures.

You need guns to work in a casino these days? Security officers? No reason given why they fired their guns.. has to be a back story..

Foreigners arrested for bridge gunplay
6 foreigners – all casino staff – have been arrested for an incident in which they fired handguns on a bridge in Cambodia

On November 14, 2022, 6 Thai casino and resort staff, were sent To Pailin Provincial Court for legal action after they were arrested in connection with illegal use of weapons on Cambodian territory at 11:00 AM, November 11, 2022 at the mouth of the river near the Peace Bridge in Stung Kach village, Stung Kach commune, Sala Krao district Pailin Province.

Pailin Provincial Police say that they arrested six Thai suspects who work at the Grand Pailin casino in Phsar Prom Village, Stung Kach Commune, Sala Krao District.

Police confiscated including 3 firearms as well as ammunition

It is not known why the men fired their weapons.
