110 Chinese and 20 Vietnamese Deported from Cambodia

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On 8 November 2022, the General Department of Immigration issued a press release stating that General Department of Immigration has deported 130 foreigners between 7 to 8 November 2022.
The 130 foreigners deported included 110 Chinese nationals and 20 Vietnamese nationals. The deportation took place at the Phnom Penh International Airport for the Chinese nationals, and at the land border of the Trapeang Phlong International Border Gate to Vietnam.

The foreigners were all arrested in connection with the crime of illegally entering Cambodia without a passport or visa, and working illegally in violation of the law on immigration. The deportees were processed for eviction according to a Prakas of the Ministry of Interior and are banned from entering Cambodia for the next 3 years.

Some of those were probably smuggled into the country on false jobs.
Fancy having to dress like that to fly back to your home country when the rest of the world is back to normal.

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On 2 December 2022, the Kingdom of Cambodia deported 104 foreigners who were arrested and detained on immigration and criminal offenses committed in Cambodia.

According to the spokesperson of the General Department of Immigration, the 104 deportees included 24 females, and comprised of 5 nationalities: 2 Indians, 1 American, 2 Laotians, 4 Chinese and 95 Vietnamese nationals. The deportations were carried out from Phnom Penh International Airport and also through the Prek Chak International land Border with Vietnam.

The above 104 foreigners were arrested in connection with crimes of stealing, violence, and working illegally in violation of the Law on Immigration based on the Prakas of the Ministry of Interior. The deported foreigners will be banned from entering Cambodia for the next 3 years.
