Suitable gift for wedding
Re: Suitable gift for wedding
I've been invited to a Khmer wedding. I barely know the bride's family and have never met the groom. Both are influential families. Is the $20 enough? Should I bring the +1? She's not a smile seller. Any tips on what to do or not to do.

15 - 20 each to cover the food and drink is reasonable for someone you don't know. If you don't know anyone who'll be attending, it's definitely worth taking your +1 so you don't have to sit on a table of strangers who'll smile but otherwise politely ignore you.Takmav wrote:I've been invited to a Khmer wedding. Or you can just go, give them 20$ and then leave to a better place for dinner.
Don't forget the water buffalo
