Husband in Domestic Violence Murder-Suicide Attempt

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): In an act of unexpected violence which took place at 5:20 pm on November 5, 2022, in Tropang Tea village,Khan Por Sen Chey, Phnom Penh, a man tried to commit a murder-suicide, by first killing his wife and then attempting to kill himself.
Unfortunately, while the wife succumbed to her injuries almost immediately, the husband survived in a critical condition and was sent to the nearby hospital for treatment.
The motive behind the man's attempt at murder-suicide hasn't yet been determined, but police are investigating.

Cambodia News: According to the woman's neighbor, the couple had been divorced for at least five or six months, and they were living apart, but the man still wanted to be with his ex-wife, so he stalked her and would not leave her alone.

This time, on the night of the attack, when the woman told her ex-husband to go away, he stabbed her three times with a knife. She shouted for help, but died almost instantly. The attacker then turned the knife on himself. He was taken to hospital in an ambulance, but died soon after.
