Traffic restrictions in Phnom Penh next week
Re: Traffic restrictions in Phnom Penh next week
There are always exceptions, and a silly one. The masses will have at least five days off in a row and Phnom Penh will be quiet this weekend and next week because loads of people will leave for a short holiday. If ever there was a time to give her a relatively painless leave it's now.mannanman wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 11:33 amBest tell my sister in law that. She’s working the whole time, and no overtime or double bubble, near Wat Phnom.Kammekor wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 10:16 amWork? Most people will have the whole week off because of the water festival. Phnom Penh will be very quiet during those days I think.
They are slave drivers.
I had trouble finding a ticket back to Ratanakiri last night because so many people wanted to leave for the provinces.

I concur, booked our train tickets on Tuesday, for next Monday , and 1 carriage was almost full already. PP will be deserted that week.Kammekor wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 11:56 am At least five days off in a row and Phnom Penh will be quiet this weekend and next week because loads of people will leave for a short holiday.

Tonle Sap refers to the road on other side of the river leading to Sokha Hotel.Kammekor wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 10:05 amI think Sisowath is also bank of the Tonle Sap, so closed.....Doc67 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 9:44 amSo, all southbound traffic from Wat Phnom area will be forced onto either Sisowath Quay or Street 19 (that will gridlock quickly) or Monivong, (assuming 110 will be available). As street 63 is northbound only there will be no way to go south between 19 and Monivong.armchairlawyer wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 9:08 amthe Phnom Penh Capital Administration will avoid traffic for all types of vehicles from the banks of the Tonle Sap along Street 178, Norodom Blvd., Street 214, Street 51, Street 294 and Samdech Sothearos Neak Blvd.
Northbound will have Monivong, 63, and then nothing until 19 (which will be fucked) or Sisowath Quay.
Is that correct or am I missing something?
Looks like a good week to head down to Kampot.
