Road Rage: Oknha Liu Kiek and Bodyguard Smash Up Bus

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Cambodian News On 27 October 2022, a shocking video circulated on social media, showing two angry men smashing the window of a red bus and breaking the bus driver's phone, for no apparent reason. Indeed, many people on social media were outraged at this display of random violence.

Later on, a source said that the man who was shouting like a madman and smashing the bus windows was in fact Oknha Liu Kiek, assisted by his bodyguard. The reason for the road rage incident was that the bus had cut into the lane in front of Liu Kiek's car, which caused it to swerve and nearly have an accident. Although no one was injured, Duke Liu Kiek stopped the car in front of the bus and got out to break the windshield of the bus, during which time when he was filmed, he was heard shouting, "Heng wants to hit me to death. "Ah!"

Following this explanation of events, some social media users who hate rude truck drivers said that it was not wrong for the tycoon to do this as a warning, because sometimes large vehicles just don’t care about other drivers.

However most commenters thought that the tycoon went overboard: "There are laws in this country, and everyone including the king and the Prime Minister must respect the law. If the driver of the bus did a wrong action, then let him be reported to the police and judged according to the law."

Bravo to this man

Let's face it; anybody who has driven more than a few minutes on the national highways has wanted to do this at least a number of times

Personally; I'm in favour of kneecapping the mongoloid drivers who pilot the ludicrously overloaded pick up trucks full of young garment factory workers three abrest down the wrong side of national highway #3 above the speed limit, but would support brick bashing their windshields also

Yes, he is to be congratulated. He has the money to be able to hire people to do the dirty work, yet he clearly doesn’t expect his staff to do things he wouldn’t do himself. Leading by example.

Perhaps give them buckets of soapy water and sponges, though.

One wonders what other non violent options there are to deal with the bus driver.

I was thinking of a good 'dressing down'.. But maybe that was Plan A and the driver told them to get f**ked and so they moved to Plan B. :wtf:

Cambodia News, (Svay Rieng Province): A tycoon and his bodyguard violently smashed the bus window because they were angry about the bus driver's driving, and they took someone''s mobile phone and smashed it, because it contained photos of them smashing the bus.
According to the authorities, this case happened at 10:15 am on October 28, 2022 on National Road No. 1 is located in Bavet Village, Sangkat Bavet, Bavet City.

In relation to the above case, Lieutenant Colonel Hem Sovannarith, Inspector of Bavet City Police Inspectorate, said that the bus driver caused it when he drove the car of Tycoon Liu Kiek off the road. The inspector added that lthe tycoon called for the intervention of the police to stop the bus, so Bavet City Police then deployed a car to intercept the bus and pull it over.

The same source said that when the tycoon arrived, at the scene, he called to the bus driver to get out of the bus to solve the problem, but the bus driver did not agree to get out and talk to him. This made the tycoon angry, and the bodyguard took the stone and smashed the windshield to let the driver come down out of the bus.
At the same time, a man took his mobile phone to take pictures of the tycoon and his bodyguards smashing the bus, and the tycoon asked him to delete the photos. When the man refused to delete them, the tycoon took his phone and destroyed it.

Authorities later invited the tycoon and his bodyguards, as well as the bus driver, to the Bavet City Inspectorate in order to resolve the issue. However, the bus driver did not agree to solve the problem, so he ran away from the police, and let the bus company owner come to sort out the sticky situation.
As for Tycoon Liu Kiek, he did not agree either, because he wanted the bus driver in person to come in and apologize to him to end the matter. He also requested that the authorities make a contract for the driver to respect the road traffic laws in future, and to educate him to respect the rules of priority and not to overtake in a dangerous manner.

Bus drivers can be tricky critters (rabid honey badger in demeanour), and should be approached with caution. I once had a bus driver spitting and swearing at me, in Montréal.

It’s a curious dilemma for the bodyguard, though- Support the boss, or protect him?
Job security seems to be at risk, either way.

What would 'solve the problem' entail exactly? A good 'dressing down' or a thrashing? Plus, 2 against 1.

Does anyone blame the driver for not getting out of the bus under the circumstances?
