Officials Seize Over 700Kgs of Unsafe Food and Beverages

Cambodia News (Kandal Province): According to CCF, the government consumer protection organization,on October 13 and 14, 2022, they cracked down on multiple local businesses producing and selling food and beverage products in Kandal province.

The operation was done after the authorities received many complaints from the local people, in order to assure food safety during the upcoming Water Festival holidays.

For various reasons related to health and safety regulations, 718.36kgs of unregulated products were seized for destruction. The business owners who were found dealing in unregulated food and beverages were fined and given warnings by CCF officers.

You could be right . I know at least one person that got very sick on that stuff. I wonder if they will take away samples for testing.
