Menaces and Shots Fired at Phnom Penh Condo
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): In an arrogant act of violence, in the early hours of this morning, gangsters fired gunshots into the front of a condo building, on October 20, 2022, along Street 134 in Veal Vong commune, Khan 7 Makara, Phnom Penh. Two cars full of men, of unknown nationality, drove up to Tower A of THE SKY LINE TOWER condominium in central Phnom Penh at around 2:40 am, and stopped to fire off at least ten shots at the building.
Witnesses at the scene said that the group of men drove up in two cars, a white Ford and a black ALPHARD, but they didn't note the license plate. Driving along Route 134 from east to west, the cars stopped and a man in a Ford fired more than 10 shots at THE SKY LINE TOWER, causing a wall, door, and many windows to explode, but fortunately no one was injured, including the two security guards on duty that evening.
After the shooting, the group of unidentified men left leaflets (apparently containing menaces) in front of the condo, and then drove off into the night. The incident appears to have been an act of intimidation.
Minutes later, the police arrived to inspect the scene. They collected some exhibits and handed them over to the competent experts to search for the group of gunmen and take legal action. Meanwhile, the police still do not know exactly what happened, and whether the reason for the violence was personal or connected to business dealings. Who were these men ? And what is the grudge against SKY LINE TOWER ?
Whatever the reason, cars of armed men fearlessly shooting up a condo in the heart of Phnom Penh, in true gangster style, is of deep concern to the city's inhabitants and a challenge for law enforcement.

Alright, compared with this shit I'd prefer the skinny dipper from that other thread as a neighbor.

UPDATE: Latest reports say that the gangsters who fired the gunshots were Chinese men, and that they left behind them written threats toward specific people, along with their photos*.
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 2:40am on October 20, 2022, two cars of unidentified Chinese people drove up to the Skyline Condominium in Khan 7 Makara, Phnom Penh, in unmarked vehicles, (ie.no number plates), fired multiple gunshots at the building, and left papers at the scene containing threats written on photos of certain individuals .
Witnesses say that one of the Chinese men opened his car window on arrival at the condominium, and then pulled out a pistol and fired many shots at random in direction of the Skyline building, and then the Chinese people threw fliers with photos out of their cars before driving away from the scene.
After the incident, local authorities intervened and picked up papers which showed photos of 5 to 6 men and women*, with threats in Chinese, Vietnamese and Khmer characters reading "Beware on the road" .
The police also seized 16 gun shells at the scene to use as evidence when the suspects are arrested and put on trial.
*[Note: CEO News saw photos of fliers showing five different people, two women and three men, all who appeared to be young and respectable (ie. not gangsters.) The photos reproduced here were altered by CEO News to protect their identities. ]
