Double KO in Camry Vs Lampost Knockout Contest

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 2:00 pm on October 18, 2022, on National Road 6A, Khan Chroy Changvar, Phnom Penh, a Camry Hybrid sedan (PNH 2AY-7056), driven by an unidentified man, crashed into the curb of a street divider and flipped over on to the roof, while totally destroying a street lamp as a side effect. Police said that the accident was caused by reckless speeding.

The crash seriously injured 2 passengers, and severely injured the street light as well as the car. The injured passengers were sent to the nearby hospital, whilst the damaged car was towed away by the police for further proceedings.
The road divider got off with just a scratch.

If that lamp post would have been rock solid and not bent after beeing hit by the car it would probably have caused more damage.

I believe they are designed to bend like that, but also meant to have a rather more substantial foundation
