Cambodia news, (Phnom Penh): According to the report, a group of workers were drinking and playing loud music at a construction site located in Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkarmon, when a violent incident occurred.

According to the victim's sister, before the incident, the perpetrators were drinking from dusk until night, without stopping, disturbing the other workers who stay on the site. When a worker sleeping on the fourth floor of the construction site told them to make less noise because it was night and they need to rest, he was attacked by one of the drunken men. The sister said that her brother was beaten with an iron bar. The victim's family called an ambulance to take him to Calmette Hospital.

The same source said that there were other workers from the site who came to help, but the drunkards did not listen to them either, and one man was injured in the right leg and two others were slightly injured.

The source added that seeing this, at 11:20 pm on October 17, 2022, the security guards nearby called to ask the Chamkar Mon District Gendarmerie to intervene. The two men who caused the violence were brought to the Khan Gendarmerie Command for questioning and to build procedures.
