Ye keeps going.

Britney was put under a consveratorship for years and years. Would never happen to this guy.
Let him self destruct. Yes, he empowers dickheads to voice hate.
Let them.
Bring down social media.
One of those mornings when I want chaos to reign in the (probably misguided) hopes something new begins to dominate in response to the sludgy shyte we humans have made of everything.

Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

Yeah, he’s walking back some of the dumb shit he was spouting, unfortunately for him it’s a day late and a dollar short.
He came back to somewhat reality after Adidas, whom he claimed would never drop him, cut ties with him and dropped him from his billionaire status.

After living in the celebrity bubble and being surrounded by sycophantic people telling him how special and clever he is, reality must be a hell of a shock.Kenr wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 5:07 am Yeah, he’s walking back some of the dumb shit he was spouting, unfortunately for him it’s a day late and a dollar short.

Who'd have thunk it, being a half-decent musician and designer of overpriced clothing doesn't mean the general population will respect you if you start voicing your crap opinions. He should have stuck to music and clothes.
Re: The Kanye Story Continues: Floyd's Family to Sue
Not a fan of his music or his clothes, but he had done well for himself on both, so good for him. I’m more surprised that some of his comments hadn’t gotten himself into shit sooner, particularly when, before all this, stated that slavery was a choice. Everyone has a right to say whatever they want, I guess, but when you are famous and always want to be in the spotlight and always want to be controversial and your income is dependent on a product, then you have to accept the fact that you fucked up and you lost it because of your own self-centered ego, which I believe he has.Random Dude wrote: ↑Sun Nov 06, 2022 3:13 amAfter living in the celebrity bubble and being surrounded by sycophantic people telling him how special and clever he is, reality must be a hell of a shock.Kenr wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 5:07 am Yeah, he’s walking back some of the dumb shit he was spouting, unfortunately for him it’s a day late and a dollar short.

The "general population" is not canceling Ye. The very same machine that built him and his brand is tearing him down.Random Dude wrote: ↑Sun Nov 06, 2022 3:13 am After living in the celebrity bubble and being surrounded by sycophantic people telling him how special and clever he is, reality must be a hell of a shock.

Ye is (or was) allowing a company to use his image and persona to sell their product, because he was able to influence the company's target market and Adidas wanted to be associated with that persona, just like a toothpaste model with a beautiful white smile or a basketball player with amazing athletic ability advertising Nike shoes.
They all sell their image and persona - it's their product - but if the toothpaste model got a meth habit and a face full of black, rotten teeth they'd be useless to the company because they'd no longer be able to influence the target market and they'd lose their contract. Ditto the basketball player, if he let himself get obese and develop a persistent smoker's cough he'd likely be dumped as the Nike poster guy. Nobody could seriously claim anyone tore them down, they just don't have the product they used to sell anymore.
Ye is in the same boat now. He doesn't have what Adidas etc are looking for to reach their target market. It's that simple. He shat all over his own image/product and now he can't sell it because Adidas doesn't want to be associated with what he represents.

Kyrie Irving just had the same mental laps as Ye, and Nike dropped him and the Nets gave him a 5-game suspension. Ah, the pros and cons of Twitter.

Before Twitter celebrities were fucking up and blaming the paparazzi and tabloid newspapers for being there at their most embarrassing moment and making them look like dickheads. Now they have smartphones and they do it themselves, but now they blame the public for reading their embarrassing tweets and thinking they're dickheads.
