Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 8:30 am on October 17, 2022, at a rented room in Phsar Kombol village, Sangkat/Khan Kombol, Phnom Penh, Voeurn Seiha, a 17-year-old female factory worker was brutally murdered by her lover who later killed himself. He has not yet been identified.

According to the victim's aunt, the girl had just moved from her hometown to Phnom Penh to start a new job in a factory about half a month ago. The aunt knew that her niece had rented the room for herself, but she wasn't aware of her relationship with the murderer.
On the morning after the incident, she noticed that her niece was absent from work. She tried calling her but couldn't reach her. So the aunty went to the room and saw that the door was locked from the inside; then when she knocked and called out for the victim there was silence. She opened the side window and saw the two bodies.

The next-door neighbors claimed that they had heard the couple arguing last Saturday without seeing them leave the room since then. It appears that the victim wanted her lover to move out of her room and the man became angry.
In accordance with the police autopsy, the woman was beaten to death, as there were bruises all over her face. Then, after killing the victim, the alleged murderer tied his neck with a krama to hang himself and bit his tongue to death.

There’s no evidence the female ever considered the guy her lover. He might have just forced himself into her life. Seems loony enough to have done so.
