Sihanoukville to Pattaya

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Jaimie it looks so inviting on the map, but it fucking sucks. If you don't have a group to share the costs of taxiing all the way, just fly. Save money elsewhere. If you want to get to Pats the same day, stay in PP, grab the early AAsia flight to DMK, take the 30 baht A1 or A2 bus outside the terminal to Mo Chit BTS, get off at Ekkamai, & the bus station will be on the L side of the street relative to the direction you're moving. Buses leave every 30 mins. You could also stay on the A1 & it'll take you to the Mo Chit bus station (which isn't close to the BTS) and you can grab a bus to Pattaya there but I don't think they run as often as Ekkamai. The A1 & A2 run pretty often, but if you want a cab, go upstairs to Departures, it'll save you 50 baht & you won't have to wait in the taxi queue. Maybe 140B to Mo Chit which is more than the bus to Pats. 2 -2.5 hrs that time of day.

Stroppy, I just paid $90 RT all in including 200B for seat selection. Usually, you have to book > 5 weeks out for a good price. Close in you're better off on BKK Air especially to PTY since you fly into BKK.

BTW, $90 was a sale price. Normal price 6 weeks out would be $120-130 all in.
