Cambodia News, Oddar Meanchey Province: It is really sad to announce that the bodies of two soldiers have been found after they died rescuing drowning children on 30 September, 2022.

It should be noted that, according to the official of the Oddar Meanchey Provincial Information Department, the first body was discovered at 11:20 on October 1, 2022, at the point of Ang O Angkrang: Van Thol, a 23-year-old man from the 42nd Infantry Brigade, who sacrificed his life to save the lives of two boys, but was unfortunately drowned. The other deceased soldier was identified as Sergeant Chhorn Sideth, 39 years old, who served his country, the people, and was a good husband and father.
The two soldiers joined the 42nd Infantry Brigade to protect the border of Ta Moan Temple in Banteay Ampil District, Oddar Meanchey Province.
