They also call the medics that care for the patient/s enroute to a hospital, Medivacs.

However, he might actually have had aspirations of being a helicopter.

I wasn’t 100% and maybe it’s a military term but nope.
Medivac is what you buy insurance for and they’ll be doctors, nurses, technicians, paramedics etc with you while you are medivaced out.
Medical evacuation.

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
“A medivac”
“That can be arranged”

After having spent several years in the military, and working in the private security industry in hostile environments for many more years where medevacs were a regular occurrence, I have never once heard of the medics that care for the patient/s enroute to a hospital being referred to as "Medivacs"...they are simply Medics, and bloody great at what they do too, much respect to all the Military medics out there.

Medevac/Medivac = Medical Evacuation
