I actually went today to get it at the mall... first the lady said i can only get a license for a car not for both... and it would be like 35 dollars... if i wanted for a motorbike id need to go to embassy... made no sense to me. Since i dont have a car here and dont plan on getting one i said just give me a motorbike license. Then she leaves and a guy takes over. I wait about 20mins he calls me over and says i can only get a car license but for a motorbike one id need to take a test at the heavy trucking center... has anyone done this?

Does your US licence allow you to drive large bikes?

No its just a car license. Never read anywhere id need a motorcycle license. Just want to drive simple motorbike

In that case, go to court! They withheld you a licensed you don't have.

NO Motorcycle license...... no exchange>>>>>>
AFAIK, you still dont need a motorcycle license for bikes 125 cc and less

That makes it a bit difficult then. I was born in UK but lived 40 years in New Zealand as a Permanent Resident, so I have a UK passport and a NZ license. Can I talk my way around that, do you think?

No. They will tell you to pass the exam.

I previously changed my Kenyan license to a Khmer license, holding a German passport.

I got both my car and bike license recently, sitting for the tests. Harder than I thought it would be, you certainly need to study. I went through a driving school; they directed me to an app to study for the theoretical test. Absolute must to study for that as some of the questions and answers make no sense. The practical test is also not that easy, most foreigners that day failed.
