IDP
In the UK, the last time that I obtained one, the IDP could only be obtained in person at the Post office. Then, cheekily, only certain post offices participate, Even though the website shows there are many more, it’s usually out of date or pure fiction. Even the local main post office near to my folks did not provide IDP. That said, I don’t recall having an IDP with me the previous time that I renewed my Khmer licence.
It would be so much better if Cambodia expanded on their system of issuing driving licences based on foreign licences, but without the rigmarole. (Although, as Khmer processes go, it’s actually fairly straight forward.) Even if it were just lists of qualifying countries based on the quality and consistency of their licencing and driving, and issue a licence equal to the time remaining on a foreign national licence.
i'll stick with my 5 year CA license ( up until 70 , renewal online) and my 5 year + 360 day Thai license

After that you pay the max. fine + application fee for a new license which is 60.000r extra (180k vs 120k). You also need to provide full documentation incl. proof of residence. That's not needed for a renewal unless you've moved.

I wont give up my usa license for a cambodian one. I cant keep both? Now even if they did want the usa license from me what would they do with it?
What if i went back to usa for a visit and said i lost my lice ae at dmv and asked them to send me another? Or what if i said i dont even have a license at all... what would i need to do to get a license to atleast ride a motorbike?

Contact a driving school. I sat for my tests last month for both car and motorbike.
