Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Cambodia News(Phnom Penh): At 11:30 pm on 15 September 2022, a man driving a Mazda luxury car at high speed, swerved and hit a lamp post along National Road 6A, Sangkat Prek Leap, Khan Chroy Changva, Phnom Penh.
Witnesses at the scene said that a man was seen driving a white Mazda (Phnom Penh 2BM-1323) along National Road 6A at high speed, then when he arrived near Bridge No. 2, he oversteered and drove straight into a lamp post, which didn't stand a chance.
As a result, the post collapsed in an uncontested knockout; the Mazda was badly beaten up, especially in the front where it hit the lamp post, but was still standing until it was towed away by police.

HOWEVER, remarkably, no people were harmed in the accident.

Glue?
I see 2 fixing screws that are holding on to the remnants of a broken number plate.

That dont look like the remnants of a numberplate to me, or you would see some part of the number or letter on the white bit, which both bits look simular . No damage to the backing of the numberplate holder.
