RCAF Poachers Nabbed with Dead Deer and 5 Guns
Cambodia News, (Koh Kong): According to the Koh Kong Provincial Police, at 1:40 am on the 6 September 2022, at Teuk Laak village, Chi Phat commune, Thmor Bang district, Koh Kong province, two NGO conservation rangers arrested two suspects caught hunting illegally. Two other suspects escaped, but five firearms and a dead deer were confiscated.
Taken into custody:
1. Name: Srey Veasna, Male, 35 years old, Nationality Khmer, Occupation: Employee, Residence: O'Dim Village, Sangkat Choam Chao, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.
2 / Name: Hong Rattanamony, Male, 29 years old, Nationality Khmer, Residence: Sangkat Toek Laak 1, Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh.
+ Exhibits seized include:
- 1 Ford vehicle with license plate number RCAF 2-4793
- 1 deer
- One head
- A small bag of meat
- 5 firearms: 2 rifles, 3 pistols, and a number of bullets
The suspects have currently been sent to the Department of Environment to build a case to be sent to court.

suspects have currently been sent to the Department of Environment to build a case to be sent to court.
I think sending them to the Traffic Police department would be more effective. Note . they were driving on the wrong side of the rice field .
