Filipino Blackjack Scammer Caught by Lynch Mob in Phnom Penh

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

That would make more sense of why he was on a motodup with a driver and another passenger.

Yeah, that's why we had a hard time with the translations, and I left a disclaimer.

A Cambodian getting on a "motodop" with a Nigerian and a Filipino just doesn't make sense. THAT^ does.

Either way, the video is a classic! "WHY YOU RUN? WHY YOU RUN? !"

Not sure if the problem is in the translation or the story teller.

Meaning?

There is a reason we included the Khmer script.

No critcism. Thinking that the translation may be accurate, but the guy's story about getting onto a motodup with two guys and being robbed may not have been the whole truth. Parhaps he was scammed and, as suggested above, tried making a break for it on the way to the ATM, or something like that. Less embarrasimg to be robbed than conned.

Agreed. I was afraid you thought we were trying to make it sound as crazy as possible (story teller being CEO), but we knew going into it it was a strange story. Confusing as fuck from any angle, LoL.

It is as likely that a motodop would ply his trade with a Nigerian already on the bike as him doing so with a giraffe in a similar position.

No, not at all. The "storyteller" being the victim telling his tale to the crowd/press.
