Cambodia News, Siem Reap province: Khmer news outlets report that Cambodian workers abroad stopped working in order to join the nearly 20,000 people taking refuge at Khem Veasna's property at the foot of Kulen Mountain. The Ministry of Labor stated that due to Khem Veasna, a total of more than 500 Cambodian workers, including more than 400 in South Korea and more than 100 in Japan, have quit their jobs to return to Cambodia, and even a medical student stopped studying overseas and returned home because of the prophecy of coming disaster.

Surely there are higher mountains to go to in Korea and Japan the the one thier heading to

True, but Khem Veasna doesn't own any land in those countries.

Let's hope the medical school will consider this proof for being unqualified.

Missing Daughter at LDP Cult Farm ?
Image
Cambodia News (Siem Reap)- 2 September 2022: A young woman, who went missing after she decided to drop out of school and give up her Pannasastra University scholarship, was spotted by her mother seven months later, in a video that was filmed at Khem Veasna's farm in Banteay Srei district, Siem Reap province.
Image
Ms. Kong Chantho, the girl's mother, said that her 18-year-old daughter was an outstanding student who passed the scholarship exam at Pannasastra University and was awarded free tuition for up to 4 years. The mother then arranged to rent a room so that her daughter could live and study in Phnom Penh, but the girl suddenly disappeared.

Ms. Kong Chantho stated that she and her family were shocked when their daughter went missing, and they had made every effort to find their beloved daughter again, when one day, while watching a video of Khem Veasna at his farm, she saw her daughter in the video, sitting and listening to Khem Veasna.

After seeing her daughter in the video, Ms. Kong Chantho went to Mr. Khem Veasna's farm carrying photos of her child, but has not yet found the girl or had news of her whereabouts. The mother has been waiting for her daughter at the site for more than 10 days now.
Image
Image
The daughter was apparently influenced by a university teacher, Mr. Ou Ol, who taught Ms. Kong’s daughter and her friend. The teacher is a member of Khem Veasna's LDP party who persuaded the two girls to run away to Khem Veasna's farm.

Ms. Chantho expressed her great regret that her daughter was lured away from her studies at Pannasastra University, and said that she had not slept for many nights waiting for her daughter. "I miss my daughter so much," she said. "I am deeply saddened by my child who has worked so hard to get good grades for 12 years, but has now taken the wrong path and lost her future."

Kong Chantho's daughter was not the only case of diverted youth. In fact, many young Cambodians left their families, dropped out of school, or quit their jobs to go to Mr. Khem Veasna's farm on Kulen Mountain, and many parents are upset that their children have been misled this way.
Image
Ms. Chantho appealed, "Let the Royal Government help find justice for people like me, mothers who suffer from broken families due to this incident.” She calls also for her daughter to return to university and resume her studies.

So utterly pathetic. This is why we need strong leaders.

Emotions high at ‘doomsday’ farm
Emotions are running high between believers of a local politician’s “doomsday” prophesy and families of his followers who are waiting anxiously outside the farm for news of relatives many believe are on the property against their will.

The situation looks very tense, as there have been more than 1,000 complaints filed by families with police since Friday about relatives gathered on the farm, who are there because of the prophecy by League for Democracy Party (LDP) president Khem Veasna that a catastrophic flood may occur and the farm was a safe haven, according to the Siem Reap provincial police chief Brigadier General Teng Channat.

“Police have teamed up with provincial authorities to help people at the farm to return home. However, it is surprising that police are also receiving complaints from family members who claim missing relatives are doomsday followers residing on the farm,” he said.

Brig Gen Channat added that while more than 5,000 individuals have departed the farm and returned home, there are still about 30% of the original crowd who are still on the 37-hectare property.

This event is causing much trouble and strife in Cambodian families.

RIP.
Cambodia News, (Kampong Chhnang Province): A young man reportedly hanged himself after returning from Mr. Khem Veasna's farm at the foot of Kulen Mountain, Siem Reap Province, because he was reprimanded by his parents. The 20-year-old man was found hanging from a tree in a rice field on September 5, 2022.

Colonel Khem Vibol, police inspector of Teuk Phos district, confirmed to the media that the young man committed suicide after returning from Khem Veasna's plantation.
The inspector continued that the young man went to stay at Mr. Khem Veasna's farm with a friend from Korea, while the parents tried to stop their child from going to the cult gathering, but he did not listen to the parents' ban and went to the Siem Reap farm on August 27 anyway. His parents were angry because he disobeyed them, and on the morning of September 5, the young victim decided to end his life .

That's tragic. It's sad that some people here are so easily influenced by charlatans. Without rational leaders the place would descend into insane fiefdoms in no time. :?
