Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A shot was fired on the street last night at 1:30 AM on August 20, 2022, along Street 430 near the roundabout of Phsar Doeum Thkov in Phsar Doeum Thkov, Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh. In what appeared to be an incident provoked by road rage, a gunman driving a Tundra car with a police license plate, beeped his horn aggressively and fired a gun, apparently angry that a Toyota Prius stopped and parked on the sidewalk in front of him.

Sources from the people at the scene said that before the incident, a man driving a white Toyota Prius stopped to pick up guests at the intersection of Street 430 near the roundabout of Doeum Thkov. The owner of the Toyota Prius, who stopped to drop off the guests and continued to drive a little further, was then threatened by the Tundra driver who fired his gun in the air before driving off.

After the above incident, the local authorities, in cooperation with the Royal Gendarmerie, arrived at the scene and found a bullet, stored it, and are now searching for the gunman to take legal action.
