It happened; RIP AndyKK

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

You're in trouble mate, you won't get on any plane unless you're accompanied by someone to support you and you've got a wheelchair and you health gets a lot better. You have such a person?

That does not look good Andy, quite a lot different than a couple of months ago.
Hope that things will improve for you in the very near future.
PM with your hospital details and I will try to visit you
Cheers

I’m sorry to learn of your circumstances.
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

I got pneumonia through Covid when it first surfaced. It'll knock you down pretty good. I know there's different kinds of pneumonia but they were able to knock mine out with a ten-day course of Augmentin. 1,000 mg. every 12 hours. I really hope you're able to get it sorted out and back on your feet again. The fevers that accompanied it were terrible. Good luck. If I was in Phnom Penh, I'd pay you a visit.

Had pneumonia way back in the 90's, knocked me out for a few weeks and from later Xrays i found i lost almost 20% of my lung capacity
Find it hard to finish long sentences an the past 2 years found it nearly impossible to wear a mask if i wanted to cycle

Andy knows he needs treat this first so can eat and put weight back on an after than get the fuck out of Cambodia an back to the UK

Andy has a very good lady assisting him , ( NON khmer) thankfully

Maybe discuss the options of a bacteria culture with your doc Andy. Once they know exactly which bullet to shoot treatment will be more efficient and faster than with broad spectrum antibiotics.

Take care.

I had it also in mai 2000, thats a date you ll never forget, i could walk up the stairs even not 1 floor, my girlfriend that time was a nurse, and they didnt put me in hospital for that, they said the only way to get over is the max dose of antibiotics, probably also Augmentin, dont remember that for sure. Lost 11 kgs in 11 days, that was the only good thing about it. Took 6 weeks to start working again, but thet said me before, you will knever be the same as before, what i found out later, was through !! I was one of the very happy truckdrivers who knever smoked, and that was the only way the could explain i was back on the road after 6 weeks. I felt also o would die, but after 11 days i was feeling better, and then the recovery, takes time, but you will make it. i think its not worth going back to the UK once you you through the worst !! Always look at the bride side of live !! We ll have a good drink at X-mas and i know you will be back on track !! Cheers !!
