Man Hands Over Buried Gun "Made in France"

Cambodia News (Battambang): On 2 August 2022 at 12:00, a 39-year-old man by the name of Kem Valak, from Tuol Balang Village, Koas Kralor District, Battambang, handed over a gun to the police.
The gun was a MLC MODELE 1935 S CAL765 L, made in France, which the man had dug up and found wrapped in a burial bag while he was working on a plantation at Tlok Reang point in Ta Nuot village, Preah Phos commune, Koas Kralor district. The plantation was about 200 meters away from his house.

On this occasion, the police of Koas Kralor district thanked the man who reported the weapon to the authorities in a timely manner and they called on all local people to be very careful about weapons of any shape or kind: Any weapons found anywhere, buried or not buried, must be rerported to the authorities immediately.

Quite an oldie, used by French military between 1940's and 60's, must be here since at least 70 years...My father being here at the time, could have been his, for all i know...

Does that mean it was buried in a body bag next to a dead French guy?
