Kratie Woman Electrocuted by Charging Phone

Cambodia News, (Kratie Province): On the morning of July 27, 2022, at Otron Annex Village, Kbal Damrey Commune, Sambor District, Kratie Province, a woman was found dead, suspected of being electrocuted while she was sleeping on the phone while it was charging.

According to the source, the victim, Khorn Srey Pov, 17 years old, resides in Sangkom village, Sandan commune, Sambo district, Kratie province, was working as a Chinese translator, and residing in the quarters of the gold mining company (Seng Yon Kong Yik Co., Ltd.) in the village-commune.

According to a source from the police, in this case, the victim plugged in the phone and went to take a shower, and when she returned to her bedroom, she fell asleep on the phone while it was charging.

Immediately after the incident, the competent authorities of the Sambo District Police Inspectorate, in cooperation with the provincial technical and scientific forces, together with the medical team and local authorities, went to examine the body and confirmed that the woman had died from an electric shock produced by her phone.
