Maternity Hospital Refuses Foreigners Covered in Blood After Shooting Incident
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Two wounded foreign men in a broken car stopped at the Women's Maternity Hospital, asking for medical help, at 2:30am on July 25, 2022, along National Road 5 in front of the Maternity Health Center, Lou Village, Svay Pak Sangkat, Russey Keo District, Phnom Penh. The foreigners were driving a black 2017 Rang Rover with license plate number JS.3333 in Cambodia, with a total of 7 bullet holes and broken wheels.
According to sources, immediately beforehand, a Range Rover car was seen traveling along National Road 5 from north to south, as if fleeing from something at high speed, despite the fact that the left rear wheel was broken. As the car arrived at the scene, it stopped and two men, covered in blood, rushed to knock on the door of the maternity ward.
According to a source from the maternity ward of the Women's Health Department, she told the police that she saw two foreign men covered with blood who knocked on the glass door to ask for help. Due to the seriousness of their injuries, they did not dare to accept the patients, and advised them to go to another hospital. After saying that, the two men disappeared, leaving the car behind.
At the scene, no source could confirm the exact cause of the shooting, and the location of the shooting is unknown.
After the incident, the police inspected the car and temporarily stored the vehicle at the Russey Keo District Police Inspectorate while they search for the owner of the car to clarify the situation.
