When was the last time you were in Phnom Penh? It's a lot cleaner now than it's been in many years.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Yep I noticed it was cleaner, rubbish bins around instead of dumping your rubbish in a pile on the street, much better
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

Just to add a bit of positivity, I see a few bins on the riverfront in Kampot and even see people on occasion ride their bike up to the bin and toss the trash in it instead of dumping it on the ground.John Bingham wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 5:22 pmWhen was the last time you were in Phnom Penh? That being said, there's still plenty who do that too, but it's a start!

A month ago. Cleaner, for sure. Clean? Not a chance. Maybe in another 10 years. The "toss it out the window" mentality is still largely in effect.

There's plenty of people in Australia and NZ who bypass the bins and dumb thier rubbish on the ground, some people are just pathetic.SlowJoe wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 7:44 pmJust to add a bit of positivity, I see a few bins on the riverfront in Kampot and even see people on occasion ride their bike up to the bin and toss the trash in it instead of dumping it on the ground.John Bingham wrote: ↑Tue Jul 19, 2022 5:22 pmWhen was the last time you were in Phnom Penh? Yes it's encouraging, if you provide the bins most people will use them.
