Cambodia News,(Kratie): A woman was killed by her brother-in-law with an ax on the morning of July 11, 2022 in Koh Dambang village, Boeung Char commune, Sambor district, Kratie province.
According to the police, the suspect was named Lin Nan, 34 years old, a person with a history of mental illness, living in Koh Dambang village, Boeung Char commune, Sambo district, while the victim was named Ting Srey Mao, 27 years old, living in the same house with the victim.
After the incident, the suspect jumped into the river, but was immediately chased down by local police.


The report says that in the past, the suspect had a mental illness for a long time, but was never violent, when suddenly, on the day of the incident he attacked his sister-in-law in their home; without any warning, the suspect grabbed an ax and hacked at the woman from behind for no apparent reason.
After the attack, the suspect jumped into the Mekong and tried to swim away, but he was swiftly picked up by the police, and currently, he is being questioned by the competent experts according to the procedure.
