Goodness Me! It’s Gluten Free

Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

Rozzie, hopefully you’ve realized the only benefit to engaging them in conversation is boredom.
It was a lazy weekend, what can I say? lol.

Not so fast.
You've accused me of name calling and abuse, so what names did I call you?

Is “Douche” a term of endearment where you come from?
And you called me out for my “gluten tolerance privilege”😉

Oh I do apologise, I was thinking way worse words than that in my head though, so I was worried I'd let my fingers slip ;)
And you did display gluten tolerance privilege - that wasn't verbal abuse, that was just making an observation ;)

Now we can call a truce :)

Thanks goodness everyone is cordial again!!!

I must add that as we age many of us become sensitive to certain foods. You may find that you have suddenly developed a sensitivity to a food you were previously able to tolerate.
I steer away from gluten but
I am able to eat sour dough bread without issue.

Great that yr offering gluten free Rozz!!
My entire life can be summed up in one sentence:
"Well that didnt go as planned".

Was about to positively rate Chad Sexington's comment above
but then it hit me
Has someone really claimed that Gluten tolerance is a privilege?

I am curious
Does food taste different if made Gluten free ?
Would someone notice the difference ?
How so ?
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

No, you won't taste the difference and most of my friends are gluten free, but they love the food. The only thing that may have a slightly different texture is the pasta, but nobody has complained.

Whenever we launch a new dish, we test it on non gluten intolerant people, because if they think it's tasty, everyone will. It's not that they are potential clients, but they are picky about food ;)
I want to know that the food is delicious, not just gluten free.
