Sotto Otto:
Yeah dude that's what the man wants you to think.
You pot addicts are all the same. Just can't see the wood from the trees. Like Kevin Smith who not only believes pot had nothing to do with having a heart attack but thinks pot actually might have saved him.
Cut the panacea bullshit and admit the truth. Pot is just the same as any other mind altering drug.

You didn't notice the presidents, businessmen and innovators on the list? Hmm - why is that? Maybe you didn't read it?Khmu Nation wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 2:49 pm I see a bunch of actors and showbiz types in your list but no great sports stars. Hm, why is that?
As for sports stars, how about Arnold Schwarzeneggar (who was mentioned), Calvin Johnson, Conor McGregor, Mike Tyson, Nate Diaz and Nick Diaz, Marshawn Lynch, J.R. Smith, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Randy Moss, Michael Phelps etc. I could keep going but you'll just dismiss it with some "they didn't inhale" excuse or something.

Yay Mike Tyson that paragon of level headedness.
Conor McGregor too.
What is your point?

Oh, so not alone do they have to be hugely successful athletes, they also have to be paragons of virtue? Keep moving the goalposts, way to go.

Khmu Nation is/was a heroin addict so this checks out. Junkies often try to divert attention to their bad choices using whataboutisms about weed/ alcohol etc.

I'm not against the argument that smoke can damage the lungs. But numerous studies have proven the huge discrepancy between using tobacco and paper to burn weed versus other means of drug delivery. If you've ever taken the advice of a real doctor to get the weed licensed, he told you to use a vaporizer if you're making heavy use of the medical abilities that the drug has proven to offer. Again, it is advisable to take a break from time to time to give the body and mind the opportunity to regenerate certain deposits neglected during intensive use. But for the average expat user, I don't think they care about living forever in a perfect lifestyle, like the media portrays as the ultimate path to happiness. White picket fence, a golden retriever and all that.
Khmu Nation could also be a group of people, sponsored by political motives.

There is no goal post moving here. I am telling you straight - marijuana aint the harmless panacea substance people make it out to be. Its also a drug for teenagers.

Sure, I have been a drug user - in my teens marijuana, in my 20s Extacy, Speed, Ketamine and LSD, in my 30s heroin and crack cocaine. I am now in my 50s and I currently 'use' alcohol in the form of two beers every night. But there is no whataboutism or evangelical bullshit here. I drink beer and I will take drugs again, for sure. I am not a 12 stepper either. I am not saying one substance is bad and another is good.nemo wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 3:59 pmLike dry drunks who get religionJohn Bingham wrote: ↑Wed Jun 22, 2022 3:48 pmKhmu Nation is/was a heroin addict so this checks out. All drugs are shit and a waste of time and life. In moderation, and by that I mean a handful of times a year, then I guess all drugs are shit and harmless. It would be impossible to deny that IV cocaine is one helluva rush and if you did it once a year and took reasonable precautions then its no problem.
But we arent discussing moderation here.
I am saying is that habitual marijuana smokers often feel their weapon of choice is medicinal, not addictive, not bad for your health and a whole lot of other waffle when science and data says different. That's it. And like all addicts they won't blame the substance on any of their issues. (See Kevin Smith heart attack for details.)
Personally I hate weed, I hate the smell, I hate the effect and I find it incredibly boring but I still think it should be legal - as I do with all other narcotics; including big bad scary heroin.
Weed is a teenagers drug. Habitual use carrying on into your 30s, 40s, 50s etc is sad, pathetic and dull. Its for losers.
