On some laptops PrtScr he as a double function and <Fn> + PrtScr might work.

I use the default Windows built in too, never any problems, but I am very, very reluctant to open attachments of e-mails because I do use my own macros so scripting is enabled.

Been using AVG free for ever ( 2x/year take advantage of their free 2 month trial pro version)
also run with C Cleaner and Spybot S& D ( run them once/month)
haven't had a computer infected ever

CCleaner used infected third party code in the past. Be careful.

I am using a HP ZBook with Windows 11pro. According to HP and Windows, and my previous HP Envy, WIN+PrtScn takes a full screen picture and saves to This PC/Pictures/Screenshots.

One more: try <windows key>+<shift>+<s>

It's a powerful PrtScr function build into WIN11 you will call upon.

Yeah I tried that already, it's the snipping function, I can then save the image to the PC/Pictures/screenshot file, but it's not the plain vanilla screenshot that this machine should do with one or two buttons pressed.

It saves to clipboard but f**k knows how to find that
