Too much coincidence ?
CEO News notes that this is the third Vietnamese national in three months to die in strange circumstances in a casino situated in Bavet Kandal, Bavet city, in Cambodia, on the Vietnam border.

Two Vietnamese men died in two separate incidents occurring in April and May this year; both men "fell" from the upper floors of King Crown Casino in Bavet Kandal village.

Two other Vietnamese men also "fell" to their deaths in April 2022, while allegedly attempting to escape from a casino in Kandal province:

Death at Casino, [1 Vietnamese] - 22 Indonesians Rescued in Bavet

A Vietnamese man died at a Bavet casino run by a Hun To associate, while 22 Indonesians were rescued from a few locations around the border town, police said.

The Heng He casino, written in Khmer signage as Heng Heng, was the site of a man who died by hanging on Friday after just one day working there, said city police chief Em Sovannarith.

The man was 28-year-old Vietnamese national Tran Van Ban, Sovannarith said, adding that he had been showing signs of mental instability and is believed to have killed himself.

The police chief said he didn’t know what job Ban had been doing. “Such a thing has never occurred and this is the first case***,” Sovannarith said. Last month, a man died falling from a ruling-party senator’s Bavet casino.

Heng He Bavet Property’s directors include Chen Al Len, who co-directs three companies — Heng He Commercial Bank, Heng He Julong Town Real Estate and Heng Zuan Yule (Ju Long Town) — with Prime Minister HE’s nephew Hun To. Chen is also director of scam-linked Sihanoukville compound KB, also called Kaibo.

Bavet commune police deputy Puthea Nuthseth said police did not have access to Heng He. “This location, I have never entered there because it is very difficult to go in and out,” Nuthseth said.

Deputy commune chief Kao Saran added: “We don’t know how many people live inside there, and they have never been friendly with us.”

Meanwhile, Sovannarith, the city police chief, said 22 Indonesian nationals had been rescued this month from their workplaces around Bavet.

There are some strange coincidences indeed - join the dots - Chinese casinos in Cambodia with alleged links to the Cambodian inner circle of political power, multiple allegations from international media of international cyber-slavery in Cambodia, and above all, recurrent cases of young Asian men and women "falling" to their deaths "accidentially" from the top floors of these same casinos.
***This was not the first case of an untimely death at a Chinese casino in Cambodia. Far from it.

What gets me is these casinos with all the bright lights and fancy interiors, making millions can't pay the staff a decent wage, meanwhile the rollers and Lamborghinis line the parking lots :please:
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

Advertised wages are what attracts the people who will seek work at these places, but once there it is a different story.
The lure of money by attractive wages seems to give the job seekers a little failed security, many find themselves slave's to crime. Online gambling was the thing of the time, being business of many casino, then the Chinese authorities put stop to that activity but online extortion or scams seem to have stepped in place.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Yes but if thier making so much money why not pay the staff a decent wage and avoid all the shit that comes with kidnapping and extortion.

Because they are running illegal businesses, and the workers are taking part in illegal work.

As well as being illegal, why pay for something that you can get for (almost) free - slave labour ? The "staff" are not really employees; more like captive company assets, like the girls who get trafficked and sold on from brothel to brothel, the online workers are held prisoner and sold on when there is a cash-flow problem or the prisoner is troublesome/not a good fit.
Spoiler:
Otherwise the problem is solved by"fall" from a high place.
