Yes, Thailand, you will be able to smoke potent weed at home

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

For a country claiming to want to attract the higher end tourist over the “less desirable” tourist, this is not a good start.

Make Bangkok an Oasis of Marijuana

One vendor said some customers bought it as a fashion statement while another said police dropped by to take photos but didn’t do anything and chuckled.

In practice, a few dispensaries have already opened in Bangkok over the past few weeks even before the law came into effect

They have a selection of strains and any previous talk of THC limits appear to have been thrown out the window

So it's legal to buy in shops and smoke but people still prefer to smuggle it into Thailand which is risking prison,

You can carry weed on domestic flights: Airports of Thailand :beer3: :beer3:
The skies above Thailand got friendlier today with confirmation that travelers of legal age can carry cannabis on domestic flights.

While more than 10 calls to various departments at Airports of Thailand, or AOT, and the Civil Aviation Authority were met with “I don’t knows” and occasional laughter, Airports of Thailand’s Security Department today told Coconuts that their rules only prevented passengers under 20 from flying with cannabis.

.....There isn’t even any limit on how much one can carry, beyond, one presumes, the usual 7 kilograms for carry on or whatever airlines cap for checked luggage.

“There is no specific order as to how much one can carry weed at the moment,” the Airports of Thailand, or AOT, rep said by phone. “So we’ll just wait for that and follow the rules.”

and so ends ganga smuggling in Thailand :-)

Seems they can't make up their mind, I haven't been following what's going on, just sharing this....

The Ministry of Public Health issued an announcement that the use of cannabis and hemp for recreational purposes is not allowed in Thailand.

According to the announcement, smoking cannabis or hemp in public is considered a nuisance, as the smoke or the smell may cause health hazards to other people and lead to the risk of such diseases as lung disease, asthma, and bronchitis.

Offenders will face imprisonment of up to three months and/or a fine of up to 25,000 baht.
