Cambodia News, (Battambang Province): There is no clue yet as to the identity of the body of a man who was killed and thrown into a canal in Sangkat Prek Preah Sdach, Battambang city, according to Mr. Lim Puthyla, Deputy Commissioner, on 3 June 2022.

The deputy commissioner confirmed that according to the examination, the victim may have been killed at another place and then transported and dropped in the water of the canal. The body of the victim, a man in his 30s, was found by villagers in a canal near the railway on the evening of June 2, in Chamkar Russey village, Sangkat Prek Preah Sdach, Battambang city. According to sources, the body of the man was naked, wearing only underwear and was swollen.

According to the report, medical and technical staff found injuries to the left eyebrow and a broken neck. After the inspection, the expert team concluded without hesitation that the victim was murdered. They also concluded that the man was killed elsewhere and then dumped in the canal.
The Deputy Commissioner confirmed that so far we do not know the identity of the victim and we do not have the identity of the perpetrator, but the investigation continues.
