Falling Trees Threaten Cambodian World Heritage Sites
Cambodia News (Siem Reap Province): On May 27, 2022, a heavy rainstorm threatened the world heritage sites in Siem Reap province as 12 trees fell down on the temples.
At 6:40 pm 2 trees fell down in the Banteay Srey temple complex.
At 5:30 pm 3 trees fell down at the Kbal Spean waterfall on Kulen mountain.
At 6:05 pm 7 trees fell down at the Beng Mealea temple complex.
The authorities examined the damage in order to take action to prevent further destruction and danger.
