Police Raid Chinese Drug 'Factory' in Kampong Speu Mango Plantation

Cambodia News (Kampong Speu): On 20 May 2022, five Chinese nationals who were actively producing and distributing drugs at a mango plantation for many months were arrested by joint police forces.
Following an investigation into a possible drug factory, the combined police raid took place at a mango plantation located in Sral Village, Yeay Mao Pich Nil Commune, Phnom Sruoch District, Kampong Speu Province.
Authorities have not yet released details of the identities of the five Chinese suspects who were arrested.

Authorities further stated that they confiscated 60 kg of chemicals and 5,280kg of raw materials. After the inspection, the team sealed the rooms and handed over the warehouse to the Phnom Sruoch District Police Inspector for further investigation.

Stamping down on this criminal activity, the authorities just need to monitor chemicals bought and moved in the country.

Chinese seem to give themselves such a bad name in Cambodia with the Cyber gangs, drugs, and crashing cars all over the place. Do people have a generally negative outlook on Chinese?
