26Yo Vietnamese Woman Jumped From 35FL, Prince Plaza

Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: A woman apparently decided to commit suicide by jumping from the Prince Plaza condominium building at 1:00 am, on May 16, 2002 at the Prince Plaza condominium building on Norodom Blvd. Village 10, Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh. The victim was identified as Truong Thi Minh Thu, a 26-year-old Vietnamese woman.

According to Chamkar Mon district authorities, the manager of the apartment building reported that he saw a woman jump to her death from the 35th floor of the condominium building, and also, according to security cameras, the victim jumped to her death from the 35th floor through the window of her room.
Immediately after receiving this information,the manager closed off the scene of the incident and did not allow anyone to enter near the victim's body, waiting for the forensic expertise of the Phnom Penh Municipal Commission to examine the body first.

The victim had a broken head and limbs and profuse bleeding, which authorities concluded was caused by jumping from a high-rise building.The forensic experts of the Phnom Penh Municipal Commission, in cooperation with the Phnom Penh Municipal Hospital, examined the body of the victim and confirmed the cause of death as injuries from the fall.

The authorities took the woman's body to Stung Meanchey pagoda, waiting for relatives to come and claim it. RIP.

Very sad to hear of young people dying needlessly. Who knows what led them to this? There are endless possibilities but it's still tragic.
