Food Exposition and Cycle Sport Planned at Preah Sihanouk Province Mid This Month

Preah Sihanouk provincial administration is planning a food exposition and cycle sport to further promote the province's attraction and sanitation.

The detailed organisation and security of the event to take place on May 13-15 were discussed recently among all concerned offices and units.

According to Mr. Taing Socheth Krisna, the Director of Provincial Department of Tourism, the event will take place at Samdech Techo Square.

On food exposition, 135 booths have been confirmed, and of them, 50 are for instant food, 18 for hotel food, 13 for drinks, 25 for locally made products, 9 for community-based tourism, 15 for souvenirs, 5 for works by students.

In terms of cycle sport, he continued, it will take place on May 15 for 15 kilometre-distance to identify the fastest five, and so far 131 candidates have registered their participation.

Mr. Dim Vy, Deputy Director of Preah Sihanouk provincial administration, has called on all competent authorities to ensure complete security for the event.
