Cambodia News, Siem Reap Province: According to a report from Siem Reap City on the morning of May 8, 2022, from Facebook's Veasna Lay, who is also a journalist, thieves stole a bag containing more than US$10,000 dollars from a woman in the center of Siem Reap city.

The bag-snatching happened at 7:43 pm on May 6, 2022, near Tea Kanh shop, in Chunlong village, Siem Reap city, Siem Reap province. Two men on a motorbike drove by just as the victim, Yoeun Pisey, a 32-year-old female, was getting out of her car with the bag of money in one hand. The theft had obviously been carefully planned, because the victim was carrying a bag containing 40,700,000 riel (about 10,175 US dollars), money that was collected from a popular illegal gambling game called Tong Tin.

The two men rode up on a Honda Dream motobike to quickly snatch the bag of money from the woman as she got out of the car, and then they escaped. However, the footage from the security camera at the scene should enable the authorities to identify and arrest the thieves and bring them to justice.

Taking bets in them wearing the same clothes in the arrest photo.

It looks odd that the snatcher is leaning across taking the bag from her left hand with his left hand. Prior to the snatch, the bag was hanging by her side. That's quite a stretch.

I wonder if she's in on the job, considering the conveniently located cctv cameras.
