I noticed that too, it's like they weren't even following the trial and just don't want to believe that a woman could be lying. Amber Heard has destroyed the Me Too movement.Jerry Atrick wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 11:46 am

Silence, exile, and cunning.

I thought the UK event didn’t include all Johnny’s evidence. Which is why he went to USA so he could have the opportunity to let the world learn what a bitch Amber isarmchairlawyer wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 10:45 am It's interesting that a UK case that Depp brought against The Sun involved similar evidence but the UK judge reached an opposite conclusion in 2020.
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-54779430
Depp's UK lawyer at the time said he would likely appeal that ruling, saying:
Jenny Afia of Schillings law firm, who represented Mr Depp, said: "This decision is as perverse as it is bewildering. "Most troubling is the judge's reliance on the testimony of Amber Heard, and corresponding disregard of the mountain of counter-evidence from police officers, medical practitioners, her own former assistant, other unchallenged witnesses and an array of documentary evidence which completely undermined the allegations, point by point." "The judgement is so flawed that it would be ridiculous for Mr Depp not to appeal this decision," she added.
But he did not appeal it. Instead he pursued the US case and won that.
IMHO, this was another example of the male UK judge falling for the damsel in distress (see also Mary Archer and Meghan Markle) and reaching a wrong decision. Probably also the cross-examining of Heard was better in the USA, although, without a jury in the UK trial, that could have just provoked the judge's protective instincts further.

Nothing to do with misogyny and everything to do with people seeing through Amber’s bullshit

End clap & credits
Re: Do you support Amber Heard or Johnny Depp?
...Since "Blow" Johnny Depp transformed himself into an atrociously mediocre ham actor. Captain Jack Sparrow is one of his most fake performances, and there's no excuse channeling K. Richards, either... I don't think he really deserves any new roles. But he's gonna need to find some if he wants to pay for all that
expensive, fine wine...
Finally, face it: Johnny really was a junkie and drunk, and I just don't get why everyone sympathizes with him, at all... I tend to agree with the above editorial in the Guardian...

Pity the Elon Musk relationship ended, she could at least have hopped in his spacecraft to get away from it all for a while.

I have been watching Roberta Kaplan, Heard's former lawyer, for awhile. She argued for gay marriage before the Supreme Court, went after the Charlottesville crew and defended Harvey Weinstein. A real piece of work.
Maybe she saw this case was a stinker (ahem) and wisely split.
