Pool tables in Phnom Penh
Re: Pool in Phnom Penh
I was going to post that the Plantation Hotel has a really lovely pool with great meals and cocktails.
Then I realised it's a different kind of pool.
But still, it's a nice spot.

I would play at Hops and Score bar mostly, but I would usually go in the afternoon hours so never was bothered by huge crowds or waiting for tables.
Way back would occasionally play at California (now Sundance Riverside) but with 1 table you would need to wait frequently. RIP to the one table at Tuk that nobody knew about for a quiet game. RIP to the upstairs at Walkabout that was empty and had a few tables.
I played at the Parrot - remember it seeming a bit too serious for me. I play because it goes well with beer, not because I am any good at it.

Liquid used to be good also. It was a bit of a hub before score existed, back when 282 was where the ngo crowd gathered to use Internet cafes etc. I noticed liquid is still there, and seemed busy as I passed the other night.

Pool seem to have enough lovers for a CEO member only tournament. Will try to set one up on my next visit.

I take it by all these replies that they don’t have a pool hall in Phnom Penh like they do in Pattaya and Bangkok. I remember another thread about new business ideas, maybe?

There are pool halls around that cater to Khmer, though anyone can play. They usually have a lot of tables with nice young ladies to tend to your table.
Can't remember if they were pool or snooker.
