Nice post, but:
Shanghai bar has never in its long hisrory been open 24 hours AFAIK. It opens about 5pm.
Sharkys does not stay open late, the neighbours complain.
Riverside promenade - anytime after dark. It gets a bit dangerous after midnight.

Thanks for the correction about Shanghai. I've never been a regular and that info came straight out of my arse.
Sharky's, in now closing at 2 am - which is late for me!

By the way, I've 'discovered' a nice little bar near my apartment, The Golden Vine, 81 Street 108, open until 3 am. (late?) Anyone know it?
Top bar. Drinks cold. Girls friendly and will leave you alone unless you want to hang out. Pool table large and well set. Bar staff don't cheat on tabs they are honest. A place to flirt and can get hot!

Golden Vine has been there since about 2005 so it's not exactly a secret. The owner used to cook for Sharkeys I think, she did really good roast dinners at Golden Vine for a while.

I walked several times overthere during afternoon, but knever payed attention about the place, after some ssearch, indeed, it exsit longtime, i heard about the next-door-restaurant also in the good ways, but knever tried either. Worth an investigation . . .

There was a couple who owned it at first. Smiley, an Australian guy and Lan who I think was Vietnamese. I'm not sure he lasted that long.

Lan was the owner when I was a regular but that was well before the plague.

It was quite some years ago, my first visit to Phnom Penh. I joined a few Khmers for dinner and went on with them to a few bars and clubs, Sharky's Bar, Pontoon and Martini's, not the Martini's on 51 Street, Martini's club, does anyone remember the place?
