Chinese Couple Drive into a Coconut Truck
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 12:20 am on April 6, 2022, on Russian Federation Blvd.,in Khan Po Senchey, Phnom Penh, a suspectedly drunk Chinese couple crashed into a coconut truck that was parked on the side of the road.
According to the driver of the coconut truck (plate number Kampong Cham 2A-1393), he had stopped at the roadside to fix his flat back tyre, and just as he was about to leave, the Chinese couple's car (PNH 2BC-1028) suddenly crashed into his truck from behind. So then the police arrived, and the two damaged vehicles were towed to the police station for further investigation.

No mention of injuries.
I heard coconut water has been used as a blood substitute in an emergency.

Lucky he had finished changing the tyre, he could have been killed
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

Re: Chinese Couple Drive into a Coconut Truck
It seems any stationary object the Chinese will hit it hard. It's about time that they stopped drinking and driving and also pay more attention to their driving.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
Re: Chinese Couple Drive into a Coconut Truck
I think it's more a reflection of the Cambodian legal system where people think they can act with impunity!
Re: Chinese Couple Drive into a Coconut Truck
You do certainly have a valid point, these Chinese have money and can buy their way out.
But I don't think it is a good thing to put a price on a human life.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

That car is f**ked; good.
Truck driver is unhurt; good.
The truck is probably back on the road already; good.
All's well that ends well.

Re: Chinese Couple Drive into a Coconut Truck
With all these accident's it will come to the point that something has to be done to reduce them. And I strongly believe that because the Khmer will not single out the cause "being that it is mainly the Chinese", it will be like usual "forigners" so unfortunately that will reflect on the barang whatever action could or will be taken.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
