33Yo Cowherd Allegedly Dies of Exhaustion

Cambodia News (Takeo Province): On April 1, 2022, at 9:30 am in Komnob village/commune, Kirivong district, a 33-year-old man named Nheb Chhen was found floating dead in the shallow waters of the rice paddy fields. The victim worked as a cowherd for Nob Toeurn, a 40-year-old man from Kbal Domrei village, Kork Prech commune, Kirivong district.

According to local sources, the man is suspected to have died from exhaustion, and the victim's wife allegedly requested the authorities not to perform an autopsy that would mess with her husband's corpse unnecessarily, as they allegedly already know the cause of his death.

What exactly was he doing that has folk convinced he was exhausted?
Cowherd. Middle of the paddies. Not much chance of bipedal bovine offspring popping everywhere, for instance.
Foul play, or fowl play?
Any other unaccountably grieving women folk nearby?
