Full Throttle 90's

Post by Ghostwriter »

The Ari Vatanen and his huge bollocks in motion at Pikes Peak

Michele Mouton missing the Quattro screams

And slapping her ladybollocks on Group B hoods

Le Prince Noir circling Paris peripherique in 1989

What can i say, i like the smell of gasoline in the morning.

@Ghostwriter Thanks for the memories! When they banned the Killer Bs, that took a bit of soul out of rallying. However, they were crazy fast and it had to be done.

Of course, Audi went on to Touring Car/Sports Car racing. I'll never forget the first time I saw and heard the turbo Audis in the US TransAm championship when they came to Canada.

But my first love was rallying, having been a co-driver in the Canadian championship. However, I haven't followed racing in a long time now. Retired, so to speak.

Nice to see some fellow rallying interest, and especially the quattro. (Mine is parked up since the beginning of COVID)

Yup. Me too. But sold long ago to a rally team as a, well, I'm not sure but they specialized in turbo Quattros and built up others' rally machines.

Nice!
Had a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R with a rebuilt boosted (biig turbo) pushing 400bhp+. Got spanked by a Ur and Delta Integrale around Bucks. They both left me for dust, especially on the twisties.

Great chat after they stopped. Both didn’t know what I had and were impressed with its speed, especially since I had a “2.0L” badge on the back. (Did the same to my S4, which by the way was really expensive to fix the front suspension components. Very complex)
