Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey Province): In a domestic violence incident at 10:49 pm on March 28, 2022, in Kork Ponlei village, a 41-year-old woman named Chea Reth accidentally killed her 41-year-old abusive and intoxicated husband, Chhem Thorngyu.

According to the police, that night the drunk husband returned to the family home after drinking, and he threw two coconuts at his sleeping wife. One of the coconuts hit the wife's head and the other one hit their grandchild who was sleeping next to the granny. The woman woke up angry and afraid, because the man then tried to strangle her. The wife struggled to fight off the husband and managed to push him to the ground. She then grabbed a bamboo stick to protect herself and repeatedly beat the husband in a mix of fear and anger. As a result, the husband died from being hit with the bamboo.
The wife was detained for questioning by police, and she admitted to killing her husband after years of domestic violence while she was working hard every day to support the whole family, including the grandchildren, without any help from the husband who was only good for drinking and beating his family. She said that sometimes she had to go to her mother's house to avoid being beaten.

The woman is being held in custody for further proceedings.

Ah, the coconut landed on her granchild, so, turns out, 41 and grandma.
Shit, so it was a baby or little kid, receiving a full coconut...

Clemency even more.

I hope the perp will get a looong sentence cuffed to a chair right under this big coconut roulette tree

A coconut as a murder weapon? Wasn't that a Roald Dahl story?

Assuming, ofc, that her story is true and she didn't just cold bloodily murder the geezer then make up a sympathetic tale to feed the cops

No doubt the competent authorities will get to the bottom of it

Maybe it was- but it certainly wasn't this story where the murder weapon was a bamboo stick.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
