Air Asia

Post by WillieW »

Are air Asia flying again yet? I'm looking for cheap flights out of Phnom Penh the beginning of next month. On their website they seem to be working but when I go to some of the bigger comparison sites there's no sign of them.

Companies individually sign up to comparison sites.
If you search similar sites in the UK you won't necessarily find Ryanair or Sleazyjet.

They operated flights yesterday and Sunday to KUL. www.flightradar24.com won't give you any fares, but if you search a route then you can see who is actually flying (as opposed to advertising flights)

You could also check the airport you are interested in going to/from for their flight schedules, see what is actually coming and going rather than what tickets they will sell you.

If you have baggage (so to speak), you may find Bangkok Airways cheaper. They give 30kg (40kg temporarily). No booking fees, no credit card fees, free seat allocation, a meal, and they fly out of BKK instead of DMK. Good seat pitch in all rows before the emergency exit rows in the middle of the plane. And better check-in experience. Oh, and a free lounge at BKK.
