Chinese Driver, XU XUEBING, Arrested for 2 Deaths

Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey Province): On the morning of March 15, 2022, the Poipet Provincial Municipal Court issued an arrest warrant for XU XUEBING, a 33-year-old Chinese man, for killing 2 victims in a road accident. The victims, who were on a motorbike, were named as Maoyong Ben, a 17-year-old boy from Tnoat village, and Pa Sienghai, a 20-year-old man from Toul Pongru village.

At 1:40 am on March 14, on National Road 5, in front of Balilai 1 village, Sangkat Poipet, Poipet city, a Toyota Lexus RX330 (PNH 2AU-1911), driven by the Chinese man, crashed into a Honda Dream motorbike which was carrying the two victims. The Lexusdragged them along until it crashed into a parked Ford car, killing both of the motorcyclists.
The suspect and the damaged vehicles were taken to the police station. The suspect was out on bail until the arrest warrant was issued, and he has been taken into custody for further proceedings.

All too common from these reckless Chinese drivers, harsh imprisonment and deportation is the only way to send a message to these types.

Tragic, and unnecessary, Khmer drivers are just as bad. But reading other posts it seems one year prison time relates to a death caused by a traffic accident.
