Maybe he didn't travel half way around the world just for that semi-conversation? He might be doing lots of worthy stuff. Or else he is just keen on dudes with boobs? Fuck knows.Mister1107 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 7:11 pm I’m new to Kampot
I was looking for a somewhere to eat and stopped at restaurant on the corner. ( beside “ up to u” bar)
While waiting for my food I couldn’t help but notice an excruciating conversation between a ladyboy and an English man . The ladyboy was talking loudly in this horrific pidgin English that most of the time was incomprehensible. The English man seemed to be having a royal time , giggling and laughing at whatever this freak had to say .
Why would an English man travel half way around the world to a bar in Kampot to converse with a ladyboy who can hardly string a sentence together??
The mind boggles.
I guess the English man leads a very sad and depressing existence back in good auld blighty so any conversation is welcome.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Hang around kampot a bit longer and you won't even notice it. But if you judge people on first appearance, you better leave kampot ASAP before your boggled mind explodesMister1107 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 7:11 pm I’m new to Kampot

I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

So I guess one could ask you Mister1107, why did you travel thousands of miles only to choose to go to a restaurant (out of all the many excellent ones in Kampot) to drink 50c beer with underwhelming western food. each to their own I guessJerry Atrick wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 7:22 pmThat might be the worst restaurant in Kampot; it's clientele is mainly 55+ year old barang Siahnoukville refugees nursing their 50c beers and eating parasitic and pesticide infused half cooked bad takes on UK council house fare and khmer food that even a kampong cham trotter would struggle to get downMister1107 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 7:11 pm I’m new to Kampot

Ahh, to be a new traveler experiencing Southeast Asia for the first time. A ladyboy being loud and speaking poor English isn't much of a "freak" or anything to even take notice of.

One case i witnessed in Kampot where the woman have been beating a guy in the face. He stayed very calm and tried to walk away but she follow and keep beating him from behind. Then he as a last resort pushed her to the ground in a apptemt to create space and get away from her. Would you say backstory did not matter there too? Some guys who only saw the part where he pushed her jumped him and he, as a victim of violence from a woman now also got beat up by full grown men. Yes, backstory can matter.
Ok Roz ...now reverse the genders .... does your argument still hold water .... if not it’s simply strawman ..... but you do you .......

I've never attacked anyone either, not sure where you got the idea I was defending her actions.
I don't condone what the woman did, not sure where you got that idea.
She was wrong and he was wrong, and the situation could have been avoided without resorting to a push.

I have! I've had to lock myself in a bathroom to get away from a creep, I've had to run away from a situation where a man was getting feisty, I've done MANY things to avoid being on the receiving end of verbal / physical abuse.CaptainCanuck wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 7:57 amrozzieoz wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 1:56 pmWhat utter crap. I'm sure that the big, strong man could have worked out something, rather than pushing.

You're on crack. I've never hit a man in my life, for god's sake, what absolute bullshit nonsense is this?

That's the thing. Being punched in the face doesn't mean that you are wrong. Being stalked and repeatedly punched in the face also does not mean that you're wrong.rozzieoz wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 2:20 pmI've never attacked anyone either, not sure where you got the idea I was defending her actions.

There is nothing in the story to indicate the man did anything wrong, you're only assuming this.
I also doubt you would describe a man punching you in the face as simply being "obnoxious".
But hey whatever floats your boat.

Re: White guy working at Uptown Bar Kampot accused of beating local woman
My comments are about the Kampot story, with the guy being hit from behind by a Khmer woman, who then turned around and pushed her to the ground, because he supposedly had no other way to get away from her.ItWasntMe wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 2:35 pmThat's the thing. There was no mention of anyone being punched in the face, do keep up dear.
You're so busy thinking up new ways to insult me, that you've lost track of the story.
